Mortgage Checklist

The following information is usually required during the loan process:

  • Paystubs for 1 month
  • W2’s for 2 years
  • Tax Returns for 2 years
  • CorporateTax Returns for 2 years (if self employed)
  • Bank Statements 2 months (most recent)
  • Investment Account Statements 2 months (most recent):
  • 401k’s, Annuities, Pension Plans, etc.
  • Balance Statements for all accounts that will be paid off by closing (most recent)
  • Employment History for last 2 years: Name, Address, Phone Number, Dates of Employment, Monthly Income
  • Employment Gap Letter of Explanation (if applicable)
  • Credit Explanations for any delinquencies
  • Alimony and/or Child Support Proof (include court documents)
  • Check for Appraisal Fee (varies depending on property type)
  • Realtor Information for Buyer and Seller Agents: Name, Phone Number and Fax Number
  • Homebuyer Counseling Certificate (if applicable)
  • Mortgage Statements for all Properties Owned (most recent)
  • Tax Bills for all Properties Owned (most recent)
  • Offer to Purchase (signed)
  • Purchase and Sale Agreement on Property Selling (if applicable)
  • Listing Sheet on Property Purchasing
  • Purchase and Sale Agreement on Property Purchasing
  • Cancelled Checks (copies) typically two checks: Deposit and Purchase and Sale Agreement Check

If you currently own Real Estate you will need to also provide the following:

  • Mortgage account information on all properties
  • Home insurance policy information
  • Home equity account information (if applicable)
